Without omnipotent, universal resistance, there is no mechanism upon which one is able to realize a centrum.

The ease will reside within the difficulty.

That which pushes is actually pulling....

Pauli....

half integer spinning, I am.

I have called in on this location on many an instance now but this post is the 1st one that I have ever commented on.

Congratulations on such a first-rate critique and site. I have found it to be very helpful and educational - I only wish that there were more blogs online like this one.

I never disappear from this blog without learning anything, from time to time I may feel a tiny bit saddened that I may not agree with a blog article or comeback that has been made. But hey! that is existence and if every one decided to agree on the same thing what a boring old world we would exist in.

Please maintain your admirable work.

Having said all of this, and if I'm kindly allowed to continue with my entries I will come again to post on your blog site soon

Cheers, have a great day and thank you.

"...the future of computing under very high energy costs and pollution problems."

Perhaps you are amongst the first persons aboard ship to notice the water seeping up through the chinking.

I am offering dialogue here in Philadelphia at 6:38 am eastern time which will engage not only my computer, monitor and Wi-Fi connection, but will proceed to engage servers, gateways routers, firewalls, switches and any other technical paraphernalia imaginable along the routing pathway. But, I perceive my message to consume very little energy and, therefore, my hands are clean in this whole fossil fuel versus energy options debate.

Were my words of critical importance to the well being of the world, I would find justification for all the severing of hydrogen atoms from carbon atoms that I am bringing to bear but, my words probably fall into that wide category of the mostly forgettable in the larger scope of reality.

Our nation spends an incredible amount of it's financial and energy resource capital on what can only be described as electronic distraction and personal entertainment. Cell phones, Blackberry devices, PDA's, iPods, laptops, desktops- all contributing to an exponential increase in consumer demand for electricity.

It would be interesting to compare the proportion of consumer spending for telephone/electronic entertainment/connectivity services to gross income for the years 1969 and 2007, I think that we would be stunned by the dollars spent on such transient, volatile pastimes.

In 1969, we were probably more concerned with paying our mortgages, buying hard goods of lasting value and saving money than we are today but, in 1969 we were more realistically engaged with one another yet we enjoyed our interludes of independence from each other as well. In 2008, it is difficult to climb into our cars without first scrolling though our cell phone address book looking for someone to call during our journey. We are so afraid to be alone with our thoughts.

Is all of the connective 'soothing' really worth the environmental price to be paid? I personally do not think so. I'll just repair to the park with my Moleskine and draw carefully on the paper all of my thoughts- something you taught me to do in Arlington at lunch one day oh, so long ago.

I just can't survive happily in this Hand Staring Age of Distraction.

Sure, because it is unreal to beleive that moleskin works for more than a small number, and wedo have conversations, even like this one, that are prety good.

What I hope for is that people, some first, more later, just start realizing tha relaationships in the flesh are more interesting than just about anything.

I think we need large systems and small, in much better balance, in order to prvent a rhwanda like breakdown.
