Notes Feb 8 2008

Interesting Seymore Hersh in the New Yorker. basically that the Israeli attack on Syria, called taking out a nuclear threat, was really an effort to show what Israel could do and regain credibility by being able to attack, and that the message was aimed as much at Iran as at Syria. His reasoning seems pretty good.

I finished the nine, about the Supreme Court. I wish there were more. I’d love to spend some time going through alternative arguments to the main cases, security, abortion, education and quotas.
